If you're looking to move to the Charlotte area, you've probably come across two popular South Carolina communities: Fort Mill and Indian Land.

One of the biggest reasons buyers look outside Charlotte and into York County is simple: space.
As development around Charlotte becomes denser, finding a home with a genuinely large backyard can be difficult. York County still offers opportunities to find established neighborhoods, larger homesites, and even acreage without moving too far from the Charlotte metro.
